Full-Height Speed Gates That Balance Security and Flow

We’ve expanded our access control barrier range with the introduction of the Record Century 300/305 full height speed gates.

These full-height speed gates are designed to improve security while keeping people moving efficiently through busy buildings. By combining increased barrier height with integrated access control, they help create entrances that are both secure and easy to use.

Designed to manage security and flow

One of the biggest challenges in modern buildings is balancing security with user experience. These gates are designed and engineered to do both.

The full-height glass barriers act as a clear physical and visual deterrent against common risks such as tailgating and unauthorised entry. At the same time, they support fast, controlled pedestrian flow, making them well-suited to high-traffic environments, like offices, transport hubs, airports and stadiums.

Straightforward integration with existing systems

The Record Century 300/305 range will integrate easily with existing access control systems, connecting to card readers, biometric technologies, and broader building access protocols, as well as centralised management of user credentials. That means automated verification, more consistent access control, and less reliance on manual supervision from front-of-house or security teams.

Full height speed gates built for modern buildings

As well as outstanding performance, these new Record Century 300/305 speed gates are designed to look the part too. Stainless steel housings combined with tempered glass make for a clean, modern finish, while the underlying construction is robust enough for long-term use even in busy settings. Advanced sensor technology supports safe operation, and wide passage options make the system suitable for wheelchair users, pushchairs and those with reduced mobility.

The system is also designed for reliability, even in emergency conditions:

  • with low energy consumption
  • minimal servicing requirements
  • default fail-safe open position in an emergency

A stronger, integrated approach to access control

“We’re seeing a clear shift towards integrated, automated access control systems that balance security, accessibility and operational efficiency among our clients. For building owners and facilities managers, that means safer environments and the flexibility to adapt systems as buildings evolve and occupancy changes.”

Integrated Access Control Project

A great example of how we help modern buildings keep control of their security and accessibility through an integrated access control system is at Department, a modern co-working space in Leeds.  Here, we designed and installed a flexible, web-based access control system that gives all users straightforward access to the site while maintaining security and flexibility for future growth.
